Sanur is located in east of Denpasar, Sanur streches for about 5 km along the east coastline of Bali. The town follows the coastline and provides access to the long calm beach in a number of places.

The waters here are much calmer than the west side and southern beaches and are popular for families and those more interested in swimming than surfing.
